The cupcake project

I am going to start testing some cupcake recipies soon. My plan is to bake, test and blog the precess. I am looking for some unique cupcake recipies, and I have found a few online. I cannot take credit for them so I will post the source of the recipies. If anyone has some unique recipies could you send them my way? Thanks guys!! Happy blogging!

Elmo character cake

This cake was for a 2 year olds birthday. Chocolate cake and vanilla buttercream. This is the second character cake I have ever made. I need to track down a picture of other. It was Abby Cadabby.

Rock on guitar hero cake

This cake was for my son's 9th birthday. He did a guitar hero theme, but did not want a guitar cake. So I told him to do a google search and see what he came up with. I think the cake that he saw similar to this one was from Charm city cakes. The cake is chocolate with oreo buttercream, covered in marshmallow fondant. The "rock on hand" was made from rice cereal treats, covered in chocolate and then covered again in marshmallow fondant. The flames were painted with silver lustre dust mixed with clear vanilla extract to make a paint. My son loved it!

Rockband guitar cake

This cake was made for a client'son, and he loved it. It was a great hit for the birthday party.

Happy birthday to me! This was my first attempt at a topsy turvy cake, and I think it turned out great. Bottom tier was chcolate cake with oreo buttercream, middle tier is red velvet with cream cheese icing and top tier is vanilla cake with raspberry filling and chambord buttercream.

Covered in marshmallow fondant, then hand painted silver with lustre dust mixed with vanilla vodka to make a paint.

This cake was made for a sweet 16 party. One of my very first cakes. Everyone loved it. Bottom tier is chocolate cake with Oreo buttercream, top tier is banana cake with caramel buttercream.

Wow wow Wubbzy birthday cake

A Wow wow Wubbzy cake for my niece. It was a very quick assembly, and a little messy, but it wasnt for a client, so I wasnt too concerned.
